Your loved one's gown can be yours, too, with our heirloom gown
and veil
restoration services.
Most brides do not know the potential of the gown or veil worn by someone such as their mother or grandmother. For some brides, it is a matter of restyling and/or cleaning. For others, fitting
the gown may be complicated as sizes and shapes change from generation to generation. Many brides may have difficulty salvaging a poorly preserved garment
or heirloom veil, which are often discolored, torn, or styled inappropriately for today's bride.
There are, however, solutions that
talented, trained, and experienced individuals can provide. Our
seamstress, Maria, and our salon owner, Roseanna, have nearly
sixty years of combined experience restoring heirloom lace and
fabric. Their expertise will transform your gown or veil so that you will gladly wear this family treasure.
Consultation is $75, which
ensures that you are given the time and attention needed so that we can discuss
all of the possibilities with you.
“Thanks so much for all that you did to alter my grandmother’s, mother’s, aunt’s, and great aunt’s wedding dress to make it my own special dress. … The dress was perfect!”
- emma, an altered bride, 2004
“The dress was perfect, despite the forty-nine years of prior neglect, … [and] looks as if it were made for her … We could not have been happier with the result of your talent and creativity.”
