SUPPLEMENT TO THE BOSTON GLOBE, Winter 1999
Bridal Accessorizing
By Beth Surdut
According to Roseanna Martino, the owner of the Altered Bride (129 Newbury Street), the most unique winter item she has to offer is a light ivory faux-fur Persian lamb jacket and muff--perhaps not to be worn down the aisle, but tempting for the time between limo and doorway before and after the ceremony. The shop will design stoles with faux fur lining , or a silk satin short jacket with thick lining and a fur collar.
For the snow queen Altered Bride has tiaras with pearls and clear crystals reminiscent of snowflakes, platinum-colored South Sea pearls or a Millennium tiara that is comparatively large and suitable for a heavier weight dress.
